Immigrants to the US often bring fresh perspectives and personal drive that can translate into new business ideas and resilience in carrying them forward. The panelists, all of them business founders with immigrant backgrounds, shared with the audience their journeys and experiences in the creation and development of their businesses.

The speakers discussed how they got inspired to start their business(es); what challenges they faced as immigrant founders in establishing and growing their business(es); how they were able to build their network,  attract talent and capital, and increase sales; what strengths were drawn from their backgrounds to succeed; and more.

DC Startup Week is the Greater Washington, D.C. Region’s largest community-driven, entrepreneur-focused event. Each year, thousands of people come together to learn, support, and celebrate the Region’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystems.
