Maria has fifteen years of professional experience in the international private and public sectors specializing in government relations, political analysis, and corporate diplomacy on Latin America. She is also managing principal of BTG Solutions, a research, data analytics, and communications consultancy. Prior to this she worked for Fontheim International, LLC and the Kyle House Group, two international public affairs and consultancy firms in Washington, DC. At the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, DC., she directed external communications for the Trade and Integration Sector, and at Chevron Corporation Maria was a policy, government, and public affairs professional in Caracas, Venezuela and Washington, DC. Fluent in English and Spanish and educated in the United States, Europe, and Latin America, Maria holds a Master’s degree in strategic communications from George Washington University, and a Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations from Cornell University.
