Silvia Garrigo ( Senior Fellow )

Silvia Garrigo

Silvia has more than twenty years of experience advising multinational corporations on legal, policy, sustainability, risk management, and public affairs issues arising from complex domestic and international matters, particularly the legal and business implications of energy and natural resources issues related to sustainability and global governance standards. She is currently vice president of corporate responsibility and social investment for Millicom, an international information technology company. Prior to this she was senior of counsel with Morrison & Foerster LLP and held executive and senior legal positions at Chevron Corporation, which included leading Chevron’s corporate responsibility policy and strategy team. Silvia had a distinguished legal career as an in-house counsel for other multinational corporations, including Telefonica S.A, and as a lawyer for several international law firms. She is a senior fellow at Florida International University School of Law and a board member of the UN Global Compact Human Rights and Labor Group. Silvia received a Juris Doctorate from The University of Miami, and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Boston College.
