Telmen Altanshagai is an independent policy analyst based in Washington, D.C., specializing in energy security, climate policy, and development economics in the Global South, with a particular focus on Mongolia. Her current research explores the impact of the global energy transition on Mongolia’s economic stability and long-term development strategy. Her work has been published in The Diplomat and East Asia Forum, and she was featured by Suspilne Ukraine for her take on Mongolia’s stance on the war in Ukraine. Ms. Altanshagai holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from the School of International Service at American University.
